Whitecaps occur when wind blows over the crest of a wave, causing it to break and create a frothy, white appearance as it crashes down. I thought this was a perfect name for my latest beach inspired painting. It is 30”x40” painted on a deep gallery wrapped canvas using acrylics, charcoal, spray paint and pigmented oil sticks.
